Recording Studio Sounds

The ultimate team experience. Everything recorded in a professional studio — your team walks away with a track they made together. For some, it's almost life-changing.

Three steps. Zero pressure. One incredible sound.

01

Warm Up & Connect

Ian breaks the ice — musically. Through rhythm games and simple vocal exercises, your team loosens up fast. Self-consciousness disappears within minutes, replaced by energy and laughter.

02

Learn & Layer

The room splits into parts. Layer by layer, Ian builds the arrangement with each group learning their line by ear. No sheet music, no stress — just intuitive, guided learning that clicks.

03

Perform & Celebrate

Everything comes together in a full performance. The moment your team hears itself in harmony — backed by live instrumentation — is the moment nobody forgets.

Corporate team recording in a professional studio

From the meeting room to the most famous studio in the world

When one client asked whether their rock choir event could become something bigger, Ian made it happen — organising a session at Abbey Road Studios. That team walked in as colleagues and walked out having recorded a song together in the same room where legends made history.

It was the beginning of an ongoing relationship delivering music-based corporate experiences connected with Abbey Road — and proof that what starts in a conference room can go anywhere.

The musician behind every experience

Ian Hooper is a professional musician, radio presenter, theatre performer, and the founder of both Upbeat Rock Academy and Upbeat Experiences. He has spent years perfecting the art of taking complete beginners and turning them into a cohesive, performing group — quickly, joyfully, and with real musical substance.

His corporate clients have included Google, Cisco, HSBC, British Gas, Jewson, United Biscuits, Interstate Hotel Group, Graham & Brown, Sellick Recruitment, and a host of pharmaceutical and legal firms. He created a global choir of 120 people for Cisco at the world-famous Angel Recording Studios, and delivered an intimate CEO musical masterclass for HSBC. Google described their session as their "best team build ever."

In 2025, Ian was invited to Buckingham Palace in recognition of his services to music and education. His academy — now a Community Interest Company — teaches over 1,000 students a week and has become a safe haven for young people from all walks of life.

When you book Upbeat Experiences, you get Ian. That's the difference between a facilitator reading from a script and a musician who can read a room.
