The Rock Band Performance Day

Electric guitar. Bass. Drums. Keys. Vocals. Your colleagues pick up real instruments and get guided from absolute scratch to a live rock performance. No experience needed — just the willingness to have a go.

Led By
Ian Hooper, personally

Five instruments. Zero experience. One band.

Every member of your team gets their hands on a real instrument. Ian assigns roles based on what feels right — not what people already know. The marketing director might end up on drums. The intern might become the lead vocalist. That's part of the magic.

🎸

Electric Guitar

Learn the riffs. Feel the power. From holding a pick to playing in a band — in hours.

🎸

Bass Guitar

The backbone of the band. Lay down the groove that holds everything together.

🥁

Drums

Keep the beat. Drive the energy. Discover the percussionist you never knew was in there.

🎹

Keys

Add the melody and texture. A surprisingly accessible instrument that sounds incredible fast.

🎤

Vocals

Front the band. Find your voice. This is where the rock star moment really happens.

Behind the scenes — and the live gig at the end

From "I can't play anything" to a live rock show

The Rock Band Performance Day is the most immersive Upbeat Experience. It's a full journey — individual skill-building, band rehearsal, and a finale that leaves everyone buzzing. Ian structures the day so that every single person is contributing, progressing, and having the time of their life.

The beauty of this format is that individual skills feed into collective performance. Everyone has a role. Everyone matters. And when it all comes together in the final show, the sense of achievement is enormous.

There's nothing quite like watching an accountant nail a guitar solo.

Morning

Instrument Sessions

The group splits by instrument. Each section gets guided, hands-on coaching from scratch. By mid-morning, everyone can play their part.

Midday

Band Formation

Instrument groups merge into bands. Ian arranges the line-ups, assigns songs, and gets each band rehearsing together. The energy in the room shifts — suddenly it's real.

Afternoon

Rock Choir Addition

For the full experience, the wider group learns a rock choir arrangement that layers over the band performances. This turns the finale from a show into an event.

Finale

The Rock Show

Up to five bands perform live, backed by the full rock choir. It's loud. It's emotional. It's the moment nobody expected and nobody forgets.

From one band to a full festival

1

Single Band

A smaller, focused group — ideal for leadership teams or close-knit departments. Everyone gets deep hands-on time with their instrument.

3–5

Multi-Band Battle

Create multiple bands across a larger team. Add friendly competition, a judging panel, and a Battle of the Bands grand finale.

5+

Bands + Rock Choir

The full Upbeat Experience. Multiple bands, a rock choir backing, and a combined rock show performance that brings the house down.

This is what your team didn't know they were capable of

The Rock Band Performance Day isn't about becoming musicians. It's about discovering what happens when people step completely outside their comfort zone, rely on each other, and commit to something they've never tried before.

The skills transfer back to the workplace in ways that surprise everyone — listening, trust, timing, supporting each other through mistakes, and celebrating shared success.

Every person in the room contributes. Every person performs. There are no spectators — only rock stars who didn't know it yet.
